Bathampton Manor is a well maintained historic Grade II listed country manor house, sympathetically modernised and retaining its own particular character and charm. The Manor is full of history and is understood to have been built on the remains of an 11th Century manor around the year 1700. It was once owned by Ralph Allen, legendary for exposing a Jacobite plot; introducing major postal reforms and making popular the City's famous "Bath Stone" hewn from his own quarries.

The picturesque village is well known for its beautiful St. Nicholas Church and countryside walks along the nearby Kennet and Avon canal. An ideal spot to sit and watch the canal boats go by. Bathampton Weir and the historic toll bridge are just a gentle stroll away from the home.

There are two spacious, tastefully decorated, elegant and comfortable lounges, one with a TV and video player and loop system for the hard of hearing. The dining room is also very spacious and well appointed.

Bathampton Manor is set in idyllic surroundings; in the well-kept grounds there is a summerhouse, seating areas, an arbour and walkways. Residents who like to potter in the garden or greenhouse or plant up flower tubs are welcome to do so. To the side of the house is a sunny and sheltered patio.

Parking available in the grounds.

B&NES Mobile Library visits fortnightly to the door and local village shops provide a delivery service for any personal extras. Regular activities are arranged upon request.
